Stewardship

Stewardship: Our Shared Commitment to the Faith

Stewardship is more than just a financial contribution; it is an expression of our gratitude to God and our commitment to the spiritual home that Father Miladin Garić and generations of parishioners built for us on Sunset Avenue.

What is Stewardship?

In the Orthodox tradition, being a Steward means taking responsibility for the well-being of our church through our time, talent, and treasure. While a donation is often a one-time gift for a specific cause, Stewardship is the foundation that keeps our parish alive. It is the pledge we make as members of the community to ensure that our Legacy of Light continues to shine for our children and grandchildren. Being a Steward is an act of faith that allows our parish to plan its mission and growth with confidence.

Faith That Endures

Our parish was not built in ease, but in perseverance, through times of struggle, loss, and renewal. Even when numbers declined and circumstances changed, the life of the Church did not disappear; it endured. In every generation, faith was carried forward, not as something inherited passively, but as something preserved through sacrifice, devotion, and unwavering hope.

A Living Continuity

The story of our parish is not only a record of the past, but a testimony of constant renewal. From its beginnings, through moments of growth and hardship, it has remained a place where faith is lived and restored again and again. What was once built by those before us now calls us forward, to continue, to strengthen, and to give life to the same enduring mission.
